YellowBird Wedding

because simple is beautiful

Ok, if you’ve never been to the Rochester Yacht Club, get there now. It’s beautiful! And although it was a windy day (ok, very windy), it didn’t take away from the magic that was Dorina and Mangesh’s wedding. Dorina looked so beautiful! Like a bride from the 20’s with her dark lipstick and veil. And I wasn’t the only one who noticed. Mangesh’s whole face lit up when she first stepped outside. I’m pretty sure after a couple moments they weren’t even aware of that cool wind coming in off the water. I mean, with a view like they had, who cares! It’s always nice meeting couples over Skype and feel like I really know them the day of the ceremony. I was just so happy! Congratulations Mangesh and Dorina. I wish you a lifetime of happiness!

A wedding on the water? Yes please! Saturday May 18th, was a sunny and beautiful day, and on the water at the Holiday Inn in Grand Island, it couldn’t have felt better. Although Reija and Eric were running a little late, I don’t think there guests minded since it gave them more time to take in the view. (And it meant they got even more photos!)
After Reija’s adorable little son gave her away, they took hands and smiled throughout the ceremony. If only all days could be so perfect! Congratulations Eric & Reija! I know there is nothing but sunny days in your future.

Friday May 17th was a perfect day. Not only was it the most ideal weather ever, but I got to spend the day with Jeff and Kaycee. And let me tell you, they are adorable! After meeting them at the always beautiful Mendon Ponds Park in Rochester, we headed off to a wooded area for their emotional ceremony. The way that they looked at each other could bring anyone to tears, and I had to keep reminding myself that I’m a professional, and it would not look good if I cried! With a perfect light breeze they took each others hands and smiled and cried their way to husband and wife. A gorgeous couple deserves a gorgeous day and I’m so lucky that I was able to be a part of it. Best wishes Kaycee & Jeff. I wish you a lifetime of happiness!

I’m sure anyone who stopped by the East Aurora Movie Theatre on Saturday April 20th, was surprised to find more than movie posters in the lobby of the old theatre. Jaclyn and Eric decided to have their ceremony their, and with champagne and popcorn awaiting their guests, it was hard to imagine anything being more adorable. Then of course there were the movie posters starring the two of them. Almost too much to handle! Eric was all smiles and laughter and Jaclyn was beaming as she hid away in the back room. Soon the moment arrived and as Eric waited for his bride on stage, he began crying the second he saw her. It’s those moments I have to use all of my focus to not cry as well. They greeted each other and after that, Jaclyn could barely take her eyes off her to-be husband. When he choked up during his vows, she pulled him into a bear hug and it seemed like it was just two of them in room. Who knew meeting at a hot dog eating contest could lead to something so beautiful?! Jaclyn and Eric are a perfect couple and I enjoyed every moment that I was able to spend with them. Congratulations to you both and a lifetime of happiness!

I think I’ve said it before, but if not I’ll say it now. Pearl Street is an amazing place to get married. That couldn’t have been more true than on March 23rd for Dan & Jamie’s big day. Although they have a lot of friends and family, they chose to hold the ceremony privately, and then invite people up to celebrate with a champagne toast and traditional reception. It was lovely that they chose the private moment because it was easier for them to open up to each other. That was obvious when 5 words in (exactly), Jamie started sobbing (in the cutest way imaginable). They were so moved by the moment they were sharing and they didn’t have to worry about anyone watching them. They created their own magical moment. When something that beautiful happens, you don’t sweat the other stuff (like maybe forgetting the marriage license)!
Dan and Jamie are a perfect couple and the perfect way to start off the wedding season. Couple that with their love of garden gnomes and you can see why I’m so happy with my job. Congratulations Dan & Jamie! I adore both of you and wish you nothing but the best!!!
