YellowBird Wedding

because simple is beautiful

The sun was out on September 6th, and it was no joke. The streets were cooking by 11am as I headed out to Orchard Park to marry Julie and Dominic in a beautiful backyard wedding. They were planning a 12:00 wedding, so I arrived at 11:30 to check in and see how things were going. Well Julie wasn’t messing around! As soon as I walked in the door, she decided we should start in case it was possible it could get any hotter out! She was afraid her guests would be cooked alive outside! I quickly found Dominic and headed for the back door. What an amazing yard! Enormous and full of flowers. Most venues don’t even look this nice. The walkway leading to the spot was a good indication of what I was in for. Dominic and I waited for Julie, sweating the whole time, but excited for her to appear. Once she did, even though the sun was in his eyes, Dominic found her face and smiled as she approached him. I tired to keep it short and sweet so that everyone could find the shade, but guests seemed happy to be there, and didn’t notice the heat. Soon enough it was time for a kiss surrounded in sun beams and another couple became husband and wife. Congratulations Dominic and Julie! It was a beautiful day, in a beautiful place, with a beautiful couple. Best wishes always.
