Judy and Susie were married last Friday (01/27) and it’s about time! The happy couple has been together since 1979. Now that’s impressive! I was so happy to be able to share in their joy at the Elma Towne Grille as their friends and family happily looked on.

I also wanted to share an email Judy sent me a few days after the wedding. I think I had a smile on my face for a good hour after I read this. Congratulations again Judy & Susie. I’m so happy that this day finally happened for you, and that I was lucky enough to meet both of you and be a part of the excitement.

“We received many many compliments on the ceremony you performed.
Susie and I really loved it, it was beautiful and very touching. Both our sisters cried during the ceremony.  My sister was very moved, she said she didn’t even cry at her own wedding but loved our entire ceremony. My cousin’s husband loved the ceremony, he said it was the best wedding ceremony he has been to.  He said the words were perfect.  My cousin’s son who is only 11 yrs old was very touched by the ceremony.  He told his mom “he feels so much love”.  Everyone at the wedding loved how the ceremony was done.
Thank you for making our special day even more special!”

It may have been cold at Niagara Falls on Sunday January 22nd, but Rick and Katherine’s smiling faces made it all worth while. After an approximately 400 mile journey, Rick and Katherine arrived at Niagara Falls in their RV with four dogs in tow, to be married in front of one of the wonders of the world. Everything was snow covered and beautiful…it looked like waking up in Narnia! It was worth the frozen hands to be able to spend and afternoon with the two of them and share in their day. Congratulations Rick and Katherine!

Ok, I may be an ordained minister, but I’m also a librarian so I can’t help but love literary themed weddings! Check out some of these amazing photos on Pinterest and get those creative juices flowing. And if you decide to have a literary wedding, please call me so I can gush all about it!

I’m often telling the couples I meet that there are no rules when it comes to your big day. Check out this article about how the trend now is couples personalizing more than ever to reflect themselves! Remember, you don’t have to hold back who you are as a couple…there are no do-overs for your wedding day.

I received this email earlier in the week from Katie who was married to her love Cory on New Year’s Eve. I found it very touching and I thought I would share it.  I feel lucky everyday that I get to meet such wonderful people.

“Michelle, I wanted to write to you and thank you so much for performing such an incredibly beautiful ceremony. We received so many compliments on the ceremony and you, and we truly felt that your personality and your words were a reflection of us. It was incredible. I couldn’t have said any of it better myself. I wasn’t expecting the words about distance and separation…it was perfect, meaningful and we could not keep it together! I saw your blog post and shared it on facebook, that was so sweet, thank you!!! I am so glad we found you and I REALLY hope you can make this a full-time gig for yourself…you truly “get it,” and you are completely comfortable, which is something that radiates and soothes the people around you. We couldn’t be happier. Thank you for contributing largely to what turned out to be a perfect day. We wouldn’t change a thing.”

The first thing that I noticed at the Hamlin House on Franklin St. in Buffalo on New Year’s Eve, was how shockingly beautiful and classy everything looked. The next thing would be that you could actually feel the love flowing through the air like electricity on your skin. Katie was gorgeous in her strapless beaded gown and Cory was all smiles waiting for his bride downstairs. Every wedding is emotional, but these two made it almost impossible for me to hold my own tears in! Bride and Groom had no problem wearing their hearts on their sleeves as they freely smiled, held hands, cried, whispered, and laughed together. I wouldn’t have wanted to do anything different to celebrate my own New Year’s Eve. I was all smiles for the rest of the night as well. Thank you Katie & Cory for letting me be a part of your amazing day. ❤

On Friday December 30th I was lucky enough to spend the evening with Jim & Angel at Michael’s in Hamburg, and celebrate with them their wedding day! Jim looked dashing in his army formals and I couldn’t stop smiling as I watch him pace around nervously before the ceremony and then relax and smile as Angel glided down the aisle representing her name more than she knew. I feel very fortunate everyday that I get to join a beautiful couple in union. Congratulations to Jim and Angel!!! ❤

The air outside on Saturday night (12/10) was chilly, but you wouldn’t have known it from inside the Millennium Hotel! The only thing you could feel in the air was love as Renee walked down the wooden staircase, looking gorgeous, into DeAndre’s hands. I realize after every wedding how lucky I am to meet such fantastic people and to be a part of their beautiful day. Hopefully there will be pictures to come. And don’t worry Renee, I know your love of scrap booking, so I’ll be sure to send you your ceremony! <3<3<3
