It may have been windy outside, but Dave and Nancy were warm and happy inside the Tonawanda Castle waiting for their big moment. The first thing I noticed were that the guys looked amazing. Best tuxes yet! And Nancy was gorgeous as she came down the aisle with mom and dad on both sides. They stared at each other the whole time, and had that same inside joke quality that they did when I first met them. My favorite part was Dave’s vows which he read so quietly only Nancy could hear them! Nancy let everyone hear hers as she joked about Dave’s love of double cheeseburgers. A gorgeous couple that were meant for each other, thank you for letting me be a part of your day! Best wishes always!

Saturday October 6th was an exciting day! Not only did I get to return to the beautiful Butler Mansion, but I got to see Bridget and Casey again (and I really love them)! Casey was immediate with the jokes and Bridget’s smile could not have been bigger. It may have been cold outside for some, but Casey and Bridget looked warmed by each other (ok, maybe they were a tiny bit cold). So much laughter and adorableness, I kind of wanted to take them with me after the ceremony. Their vows were incredibly moving and the way that they looked at each other could take your breath away. Congratulations to a perfect couple. I’m so glad that you found each other, although there really wasn’t any other option…you’re meant to be!!!

The Hamlin House is always a great wedding spot, but it’s even more magical when there are Native American flutes and drums in the background getting everyone excited! Lisa and Jason’s wedding is not what you call a small event…not with 9 bridesmaids, 9 groomsmen, 2 flower girls, and a ring bearer! And yet with all of those people, they managed to keep it intimate by constantly joking with one another and showing everyone how close they all were, and how much they loved each other. It didn’t take long after Lisa stepped up to Jason for the tears to form in her eyes. When we first met, she told me she knew Jason was the one immediately, and I’m sure she was feeling that in the moment he took her hands. Congratulations Lisa and Jason! I wish you nothing but the best!!!

It was a beautiful day on September 29th to be at Niagara Falls, and Tiffany and Orin (Butch, really), made the most of it. Tiffany looked lovely in her white gown, and her daughter tried in vain to keep it from getting on the wet grass. Although they couldn’t have been happier to be tying the knot, they both had the wonderful nervousness that sometimes comes along. Tiffany had nervous giggles before her vows, which made them all the more beautiful. It’s always nice to see couples for the first time when they live out of town, and I couldn’t have been happier with Tiffany and Butch. Their love for each other saved them, and I wish them a lifetime of that love and happiness.

Saturday September 23rd might have been windy and a bit chilly, but there is no way Jacqueline and Dale would have noticed. They were too busy have pre-ceremony party at the Embassy Suites Hotel! I love meeting couples that are so much fun, I’m bummed that I’m only staying for the ceremony, because I know the reception is going to be an unbelievable party! Dale and Jacqueline didn’t seem nervous at all…they knew that what they were doing was the way it was always supposed to be. They smiled, joked and laughed during the ceremony and their friends and family laughed along with them. All of this should be expected from a couple whose first date was Texas Chainsaw Massacre! They were so happy to have made it official after the ceremony, they couldn’t stop showing off their new rings! Congratulations Dale and Jacqueline. I know there is nothing but fun and good times ahead of you. Best wishes always!

There are couples, and then there are ADORABLE couples. Jessica and Chris are definitely the later and on Friday September 21st, they showed their friends and family just how perfect they were for each other (if they haven’t noticed over the last ten years). At the Niagara Falls Conference and Event Center, I met with both of them separately and just beamed at how excited they were for the big moment. Chris walked down with his two darling ring bearers (who were rewarded with presents for making it to the alter without horseplay), and nervously swayed waiting for Jessica to met him up there. She arrived with tears already forming in her eyes, and they held hands and glowed at they read their vows to each other, and added sealed love letters into their wine box. Congratulations Jessica and Chris. I’m so lucky to know the two of you and I wish you a lifetime of happiness!

So to everyone who emailed, called, and messaged me over the last couple weeks that I didn’t get back to, it’s because I was out of the country! London, Amsterdam, Bruges, and Paris demanded to be visited. And although I missed everyone, it was glorious! Just wanted to let everyone know I’m back now and I will be getting back to you as quickly as possible! Just as soon as I get over this jet lag…

September 14th will go down as one of my favorite days ever. I was honored/lucky enough to marry two of my dearest friends, Pauly and Franky, who have been happily loving each other in New York City for just about the last seven years. At Pauly’s parents’ gorgeous lake house in Geneseo, NY, these handsome fellas did what all of their friends and family have been waiting for them to do for the last 6 years! All of the weddings I do are very special, but it was hard for me not to cry as I joined these two forever. I’m so lucky! Not to mention their fantastic bleedin’ armadillo cake that they cut into after (it’s a reference from Steel Magnolias so if you haven’t seen it, get on it!).

I love you Pauly and Franky. Thank you for asking me to be a part of your day and for being two great friends. You are both so beautiful inside and out that I will never forget this moment, and know that you have a lifetime of happiness ahead of you. All my love.

Friday August 31st was beautiful not only because the sun kept shinning late into the day, but because Kelly and Brian were finally wed! Kloc’s Blossom Grove was full of smiling people as Brian and his groomsmen joked (sort of) about how nervous and excited they were. As Brian and I waiting for Kelly to make her (gorgeous) appearance, I don’t think I ever laughed more with a groom! He was all jokes and smiles and pure happiness as Kelly stepped out into the sunshine, and into his hands. I’m so happy I was able to meet them and be a part of their day. They are a fantastic couple and fantastic people who I wish nothing but happiness forever!

Saturday August 25th was especially memorable for two reasons. Number one, it got up to over 90 degrees, and number two, the amazing and perfect-for-each-other Kathy and Theron were married! I first found Theron pacing under an enormous gazebo at Banchetti’s in Amherst. I’m pretty sure all of the sweat he was facing had nothing to do with the heat…he was nervous and it was adorable! His groomsmen kept him calm and laughing, but nothing seemed to prepare him for when Kathy began walking towards him. I watched tears stream down his face only to be matched by her own tears as she met him. They had the biggest smiles for each other and kept whispering “I love you” to each other throughout the ceremony. When you can stand outside on such a hot day in a suit coat and not be bothered by the heat because you’re fully focused on the couple, you know you’ve met some amazing people. Congratulations Theron and Kathy. I wish you nothing but the best. And since Kathy reminded me that the internet helped her find her true love and me to be a part of it, I’d like to in turn remind everyone out there not to close their minds to the many possible ways to find people. You never know! ❤
