YellowBird Wedding

because simple is beautiful

September 26th felt like a perfect summers day. And the perfect place to take in this weather anomaly was Becker Farms with their green vineyards and blooming flowers. Sarah and Doug were both very excited about how beautiful and sunny the day was (at least Doug was until he had to stare into the sun…more on that later), and were excited to be married. I checked in with the beautiful Sarah who was calm and happy and ready to begin. She told me where to find her future husband (which happily wasn’t the group of drunk groomsmen roaming around the grounds) and I set off in search of Doug. He was in the brewery with his groomsmen nervously joking and having that one drink to calm his nerves. He seemed 100% sure of his decision though. After so many years together they were ready to have their moment in front of friends and family. Doug took a second to leave a message for Sarah on camera for her to find later, and the guys nervously talked about how Doug was playing guitar and singing for Sarah after the ceremony (swoon). Not to mention he built their Wine/Love Letter Box and card box for the occasion. Sarah nabbed a good one, and I’m pretty sure Doug felt just as lucky. Finally it was time to start and we walked out into the sunshine to wait for Sarah to be escorted out. She was a vision when she reached Doug, although it was hard for him to take it in since he was standing due west and was sort of blinded for the ceremony. It made Sarah laugh though, so it all worked out. He fought nature when it was time to look in her eyes and say his personally written vows, and with tears streaming down her cheeks, she shared hers. It was a wonderful occasion and I’m so glad I was able to be a part of it! Congratulations Doug & Sarah! You’re a perfect couple and I have no doubt that the two of you will have a long, happy life together. Much love.
