YellowBird Wedding

because simple is beautiful

May 24th was an awesome day at Resurgence Brewing Company. I’m getting more and more weddings there and let me tell you, I love it! I arrived to Sarah and Michael, looking wonderful and being excited, and perhaps a bit nervous since they forgot their marriage license. But mom and dad were to the rescue! I love couples that are just vibing and having a great time, and they don’t sweat the small stuff. They know it will all work out in the end, and it did! Soon enough, Michael and I were watching the beautiful Sarah make her way down the aisle to him. Even though they had just been hanging out, they looked so happy to see each other again, in this particular spot, saying these particular words. It was an amazing moment, and soon they were happily kissing as husband and wife!
Congratulations Michael and Sarah! I wish you a lifetime of laughter and love!

May 23rd knew it was a spring day in Buffalo, and therefore could do whatever it wanted for Ashley and Ryan’s wedding. It started the day raining, and then left us with a windy chill that we were all ready to brave in the name of love! At O’Brien’s Sleepy Hollow, it still looked beautiful outside, and under the tent was warm and snug. We just had to get through the ceremony!
Ashley looked beautiful when I arrived, friends adding the finishing touches, making sure she had her vows, and was feeling good. Ryan had on a wonderful colored suit and was eager to meet his bride at the altar. Soon enough, we were all heading outside, to start this gorgeous moment. I loved that a few minutes in, Ashley was like, just because I have this stunning dress on doesn’t mean I need to be cold, and had her mom bring up her jean jacket. It was such a funny and sweet moment and everyone loved it. Their vows were long and passionate and hilarious and everything else you could want in them. People hung on every loving word. And then it was time to kiss and make it official and get out of the cold!
Congratulations Ryan and Ashley! I’m so glad you found each other and will be there to care for each other for the rest of your lives!

Friday, May 16th, I found myself at the very cool Resurgence Brewing Company for Victoria & Jeffrey’s wedding! I had time to look around the space and admire all of their decorations as they got some extra pictures taken. When they did arrive, they looked wonderful and ready to go! It was a long asile up to the front, so I got to really enjoy them walking out, taking in Victoria’s gorgeous dress and seeing the happy faces of their friends and family in the audience. Soon enough they were standing face to face, repeating vows, smiling as they put on their rings, and vowing to love each other for all of their days. Congratulations Jeffrey and Victoria! It was a perfect moment and I hope you loved every second, and the many, many more seconds to come!

Nothing beats a Wednesday wedding! It sure breaks up the week and I was happy to find myself on May 14th at the Botanical Gardens for Jennifer & Robert’s wedding. I loved these two. They lived 1000 miles apart and found a love so strong it was pulling them together no matter what! Robert was there greeting guests, looking a bit nervous, but I could tell excited as well. When Jennifer arrived she looked so lovely and I knew that this was going to be such a special moment for them. They held hands, smiling, and performed a unity sand ceremony, combining colors that they could keep forever. And like the whirlwind it always is, soon enough they were kissing as husband and wife! Congratulations Robert and Jennifer. You’re truly made for each other. Enjoy your new life in Canada!

April 27th was the first really beautiful day of 2025, and I couldn’t be happier for Morgan and Matt! At BinksBerry Hollow, everything looked beautiful, and the sun was shining down on the small hill where their altar was for their big day. Morgan looked so beautiful, standing with her soon-to-be step-daughters as she eagerly waited her first look with Matt. And Matt couldn’t seem happier! He was relaxed and simply excited for the moment to begin. Soon enough we were standing on the hill, watching Morgan make her gorgeous entrance. They beamed at each other, looking happy yet shy throughout, until the moment they were kissing as husband and wife! And then a moment after, their daughter quickly removing the veil which a bee had snuck into! What a day!
Congratulations Matt and Morgan. I’m so glad you found each other and I know will be so happy as each others family for the rest of your lives!

On March 8th I was lucky enough to join Anica and Travis at Wurlitzer Events for their big day! Guests were practically giddy as they walked around waiting for the moment. Travis seemed to have some nerves…I could tell he was wanted everything to be perfect and for the moment to happen so he could stop stressing about it! There was a small hiccup when Anica realized she forgot her vail, but that’s what dads are for and her’s rushed back home to retrieve it. Disaster averted! Not that she wouldn’t have looked absolutely stunning without it! Soon enough though, Anica was making her way out to Travis, beaming up at him as he kept that nervous look. Until she was standing in front of him, then he seemed to loosen and really look at her. They smiled at each other and seemed to not hear me for parts because they were so focused on one another. They took out their phones to share their vows and it was a beautiful moment, especially when they took hands and joined for the big kiss as husband and wife! Congratulations Travis and Anica! You’re a beautiful couple and I wish you a lifetime of happiness!!!

Back at my favorite Botanical Gardens on February 15th for Melissa and Jamie’s wedding. It was a chilly one out there, so I was happy to enter that beautiful humid building😂 I found Jamie hanging out with her bestwoman, and they had a nervous energy about them. Jamie just wanted to make sure everyone made it there on time, which was stressful with the snow blowing outside. We paced around together and as the officiant who will do anything for you, I ended up on the ground using my teeth to remove unwanted threads from Jamie’s suit coat. I tell ya, I’ll do anything for my couples ❣️Soon enough Melissa was there, looking so beautiful and I knew it was time to get this show on the road. It was an intimate setting, just a few guests, beaming as they looked at the happy couple joining hands at the altar. They didn’t seem nervous anymore and I told them, anyone who can have 5 cats and 4 dogs can definitely survive marriage! FACTS. They exchanged their vows and then kissed as the happiest wives you could imagine. Congratulations Jamie and Melissa! You’ve already made each other your family and I know you’ll have a long, happy life together.

On February 8th I made my way to the beautiful Timberlodge at Arrowhead (just finishing up a terrible cold), for Justis and Bailey’s wedding. This cold winter weather won’t quit, but it was so warm and welcoming inside, and very intimate. Justis and Bailey decided to only have very close friends and family attend the ceremony, and then let in the other eager guests for the reception. They don’t love the spotlight on them, so this was a perfect way for them to share their moment with some, but at the same time keep it just for themselves. After graciously walking around and checking in with everyone there, they made their way to the altar and you could truly feel the love between them. They listened and nodded and held hands and I knew they would remember this moment always. Soon enough they were kissing as husband and wife! Congratulations Justis and Bailey! I’m so happy to have been a part of such a lovely moment and I’m excited for how many more amazing moments you have ahead of you.

January 4th was one the the cutest days ever, because I got to marry Mackenzie and Nate in their beautiful home! They are both lowkey people who were looking for a lowkey event. So at 11am, I bundled up against the cold January air, and made my way to their home to share in the moment with them and their parents. The intimate setting made the whole event feel very special. They gazed at each other, breaking out in huge grins or laughs, with eyes tearing up as well. I felt really honored to share in such a private moment, and even though there weren’t many people in the room, you couldn’t tell after they kissed as husband and wife and everyone started applauding! Congratulations Nate and Mackenzie! You two were obviously meant for each other and I wish you so much future happiness.

What better way to celebrate a new year and a new season than a wedding on New Years Day! I found myself at Akron Falls Park to ring in the day with Kenzie and Sam. It was a cold one for sure, but you couldn’t tell by looking at Kenzie and Sam. They were both so happy and excited, an intimate moment with just them and a photographer, as they read their beautiful, heartfelt vows to each other, little frozen tears forming in their eyes. They held cold hands while smiling, waiting for that first kiss as husband and wife! Congratulations Sam and Kenzie! I’m so happy I got to start my year full of the love I felt coming off the two of you.
