July 18th was a confusing day. It was rainy. Very rainy. But as I drove away from Buffalo, towards Yodeler Lodge in Holiday Valley for Marissa and Ronnie’s wedding, out came the sun. It was like I was in a whole different state by the time I got there. It was as beautiful out as Marissa looked! She was so happy and excited, and Ronnie seemed the same way (albeit in a more reserved way, but I could tell), as they prepared for the big moment. It was a lovely space, overflowing with happy guests, and soon enough, it was time!
As I made my way outside with Ronnie, the rain started. It was was light sprinkling, gently landing on the groomsmen and bridal party as they walked to the altar. I was worried for Marissa, but LO AND BEHOLD, as soon as the door opened for her to step outside, the rain stopped. It was a perfect moment. Only to be topped by when she reached Ronnie and they grasped hands. They looked so happy to be standing side by side, and after their vows and exchanging of rings, there was nothing to do but kiss as husband and wife!
Congratulations Ronnie and Marissa! I hope this moment was everything you’d hoped for, and I wish you a long and happy life together.
