because simple is beautiful

…to you and yours, and those that are about to be yours!

Here are some beautiful photos of an adorable couple, married for an incredible 61 years! As a special holiday present, event designer and granddaughter Lauren Wells decided to create some truly memorable anniversary photos for her “Nina and Gramps.” According to Lauren, the two “have never taken their rings off and remain the best of friends.”

Oh December 14th. You loved being a super cold day. And I’m pretty sure you loved that you had some victims outside in front of Niagara Falls to pummel with snow and wind. But jokes on you because we didn’t care! Nicole and Jamie knew that they wanted to be married in front of the Falls and they weren’t going to let a little thing like winter stop them. So they trudged out into the snow with their adorable daughter and their closest friends and family, and said their vows in front of one of the most beautiful wonders of the world. And although it was dark and windy, they held hands to keep each other warm and their friends seemed to light up around them. I guess we were all a little happy when it was time to go back inside, but all in all it was a beautiful moment. Congratulations Nicole & Jamie! I’m so happy I was able to get to know you and share in such a unique moment. A lifetime worth of good wishes!

They were calling for a winter storm on December 7th, but I think the will of Lianna and Dan kept it away! It was a chilly, but beautiful day at Bristol Harbour and even though it’s hard to stay warm in a strapless dress, Lianna seemed to be glowing and impervious to the chill in the air. Maybe that’s because after over six years, the man who started off as an intern at her work, was now about to become her husband! Lianna met Dan in front of gorgeously lit Christmas trees and held each other and they said their vows. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen such huge smiles! They combined their love and personalities symbolically in a wine ceremony, and then came back together for a kiss that could have stopped time! Again, these are the moments when I’m so happy to be doing what I do. I’m able to share in beautiful moments with beautiful people and I couldn’t be happier about it! Congratulations Dan & Lianna! I wish you a lifetime of happiness with each other. Not that you’ll need it!

As always, Ayres Photo makes another wedding gorgeous. Although they were lucky it was Kim and Angelo who are such beautiful humans on the outside and inside!

November 9th was obviously a day full of love. Not only did I have two weddings, but I had one in the Niagara Hospice so that Tracey and Patricia could include Tracey’s mom in their wedding. If that’s not love, I don’t know what is. I immediately loved Tracey and Patti when I met them through Skype, and that only increased when I met them face to face. Their charm and their love for each other was infectious, and a stranger could have walked into that room and felt joy for them. With just a small gathering of their kids and close family, Tracey and Patti quietly, yet intensely shared their vows and their promises to keep on loving each other throughout time. And after seven years, it was definitely time! It’s times like this that I feel super lucky to be doing what I do, and meeting the people that I meet. Congratulations Patricia and Tracey! I’m so glad that you found the person you were always meant to meet. And then you found me!!!

Saturday November 9th was cozy as could be inside the casino at Sprague Brook Park in Glenwood, NY. And as Heather and Carolyn’s family dashed around decorating the room, the girls got ready together moments before start time. They kept the event low key, and the people in the room seemed comfortable, happy, and excited. Although Carolyn seemed to have a touch of nervousness, they finally made their way to the alter to share their vows. Even with only a couple onlookers, they very quietly said their vows to each other, and it suddenly seemed like they were the only ones in the room. And then it was time for donuts! Congratulations Carolyn & Heather! I’m glad that you found each other and finally made this moment happen. Best wishes!
