There isn’t much I can say about Lori and Jeff that you can’t glean from their photos. Two beautiful humans, who on July 2nd, after having first loved each other in high school and then drifted away, found each other again, some 50 years later, and recognized a love that never went away. And so they leaned into that everlasting feeling and got married! I couldn’t have been more honored to officiate and I wish them the best on this new, beautiful chapter!
June 20th was another wonderful weekday wedding, a hot and baumy Thursday at Kloc’s Grove. The sun was out and shining for Alexis and Caleek’s big day! When I arrived, I found Alexis hiding out in the back, fast talking a little nervously, but looking stunning and knowing it in her dress that her Grandma had gotten for her. She knew how much she wanted this moment, but maybe was a bit nervous to be out in front of everyone. When I found Caleek he was all energy! Smiling and laughing with groomsmen, although looking at the sun like “can we get a little break here?”, but that was not to come 🤣. It didn’t matter though because nothing could stop these two from tying the knot (and their dog Bruno would not have approved of that anyway). Soon enough, Alexis was making her way out to Caleek, who smiled as he watched her walk to him. You could really read the love on their faces when they were standing together, realizing that this was their moment to make all of this love official. Soon enough, in that sweltering heat, they were kissing as husband and wife, feeling nothing but perfection. Congratulations Caleek and Alexis! It was so wonderful meeting both of you and I’m honored to have shared in your day!
June 14th was amazing not only because it was my Grandma’s 94th birthday, but because it was Molly and Daniel’s wedding! And at the Avanti Mansion, I found them preparing for the big moment. Molly looked beautiful getting the final touches put on with her bridesmaids, while Daniel hung out downstairs with his groomsmen, joking (a little nervously) and waiting for the time to arrive. Soon enough we were heading to the altar, with a couple good luck pats on the heads of flower girl Zoey and ring bearer Knox, who were just about the cutest wedding party members ever! When Molly and Daniel were standing face-to-face, you could see the emotion building on their faces. Having been together since High School pit band, this was a moment they had been waiting for a long time. Soon enough it was time for vows and for Knox to give over the rings, and before you knew it, they were kissing as husband and wife! Congratulations Daniel and Molly! You’ve known for so long that this was your person and I’m so happy I got to share the day with you!
June 8th was a beautiful day. Did that mean that Cassie wasn’t stressed about rain for the entire week before her wedding? No it did not 🤣. But when the day and time rolled around, it was a lovely evening at the always charming Kin Loch Farmstead. When I found Cassie, she looked stunning, but was still a bit anxious and nervous about how everything was going to go. I think those nerves maybe held on for the whole ceremony! Tyler seemed a bit more relaxed, but you could tell he was very excited for things to get moving. Their venue looked wonderful, ESPECIALLY the table name cards, which Cassie painted by hand! They were all so cute and unique and I couldn’t stop looking at them. I can’t even imagine how long they took her to make, but what an amazing favor for people to have. Soon enough we were heading out into the wooden spot for the ceremony, and the couple made their way to each other. They looked pretty nervous up there, a few moments of locking eyes and smiling, but I could tell the nerves were winning a bit. But they managed to say their beautiful vows, shaking hands and all (which I love seeing, it’s so sweet!). But soon enough (couldn’t come too soon for them), it was time to kiss as husband and wife! Congratulations Tyler and Cassie! This was perfect moment and I know there will be so many more in your future!
June 1st really felt like the kick-off to summer for me, and I was so happy to take a road trip to the Chautauqua Institution for Tina and Kurt’s wedding. If you’ve never been to the Institution, I don’t know what to tell you except to go! It’s a magical place unlike any other, especially at the Hall of Philosophy where the ceremony took place. When I arrived, I took about a 15 minutes to walk around and see everything, and then to find Tina and Kurt in their hotel, waiting for the big moment to begin. They seemed adorably nervous, but so in love it filled up the space around everyone. It was beautiful outside and as guests gathered to their seats, I knew this would be a very special moment. Soon enough, as I stood with Kurt, we watched Tina, looking stunning, make her way to him, quartet strings swelling, and I could see the emotion in both of their eyes. By the time they took hands it could have just been them in the whole universe. I couldn’t have been happier when I exclaimed husband and wife, and they grabbed each other for that first kiss! Congratulations Kurt and Tina! You really made me think about how in the all the world, it’s truly and exceptional gift to find the person you’re supposed to be with. I wish you such a happy life together, always!
On May 31st I was lucky enough to be at Wurlitzer Events for Krystina and Chris’s wedding! It was a lovely day and I knew they two of them were going to be super pumped and ready to go. They did not disappoint! I found Chris when I arrived, greeting guests and just seemingly overall thrilled. And then I saw Krystina, looking beautiful and equally excited…maybe a few more nerves behind the eyes. But when it was time to start, and she walked down the aisle into Chris’s hands, I could see that happiness was the most prominent feeling. They smiled and laughed and I talked about how they first met and the love and joy they’ve had over the many years. Soon enough they were kissing as husband and wife and ready to party! Congratulations Chris and Krystina! You were completely meant for each other and I wish you a lifetime of happiness!
Who doesn’t love a Wednesday wedding?! I mean, talk about breaking up the week! I was lucky enough on April 24th to find myself at the always beautiful Botanical Gardens, for Laura and Kyle’s weekday wedding. Kyle was there, getting some photos taken, talking with guests, nervously looking at his phone checking the time. But soon enough Laura did arrive, looking beautiful, nervous, excited, and I think all the other emotions! She psyched herself up to stand in front of close friends and family and say the words she’d been waiting to say. And when they were face to face, you could feel the love between them…and the heat because the Garden’s really do create their own greenhouse warmth! They vowed to love each other and held hands and soon enough, I could say those beautiful words they had been waiting to hear, that they were husband and wife. Congratulations Kyle and Laura! It was such a beautiful day for the two of you and I’m excited to think about all the beautiful days ahead of you!
April 20th was a beautiful day, and nowhere more so than at The Buffalo History Museum where you could step outside and be surrounded by cherry blossoms! I couldn’t be happier for Alex and Christian, not only because they deserved a beautiful day, because of how adorable they are together. I knew from the first time I met them how much I would enjoy spending this moment with them and that they were genuinely just good people. They were both hanging out together, seemingly calm and happy, Alex looking lovely in her floral embroidered dress. You got the sense that these two people would be happy no matter where they got married and no matter who was there, so long as they were entering this next chapter together. When we finally stood together and the ceremony began, I watched Alex get emotional, going through her tissues as she smiled at Christian and he beamed back at her. They laughed and held hands and it felt like a perfect moment for everyone in the room. Congratulations Christian and Alex! I adored getting to know both of you and know you’ll have a long and happy life together.
Wedding season is back in full swing, and I found myself in Niagara Falls on April 19th for Kelly and Tom’s wedding. Inside the Hyatt Place Niagara Falls, I found Kelly with her bridal party looking happy and excited, and not worried about how it was a little chilly and windy outside. She had a good feeling it was all going to work out for the best. When I found Tom, he also seemed so happy and ready to marry his bride. I could tell that this was a couple where nothing would bother them, they were going to find everything perfect because they had each other. And right before it was time to walk outside, the clouds parted and the sun came out, and the breeze from the falls was lovely. A perfect moment! Tom and Kelly said their I do’s as they looked into each others eyes, meaning every word. Congratulations Tom and Kelly! You’ve known since you met this person that you were supposed to be together, and I’m so glad I got to share in the moment!
My first wedding of 2024 was an amazing one! On February 9th, I found myself at the Admiral Room for Reylea and Jeremy’s wedding. I’ll start by saying, they’re cool. As soon as you meet them, you know you could hang out with them and have a good time. And they were both very chill considering it was their wedding day. They were hanging out together, already having a great time, as guests filled in the space. And I mean filled in because everyone wanted to see these two get married! After chatting with both of them, I was watching Jer start to look a little nervous, walking back and forth, really checking to make sure things were ok. It was very cute and that’s when I know it’s time to start! I stood up with Jer as Rey made her way out, and she just looked so beautiful that you could forget you just saw her. They laughed together and got a little teary eyed as they shared their very personal and hilarious vows. It was truly a perfect moment that by the time they were kissing, everyone in the audience was so jazzed it was a huge applause. Congratulations Jeremy and Reylea. You were obviously made for each other and I wish you a lifetime full of laughter and love.
